True Abstract Expressionism and Experiments in Intentionality
I studied the philosophy of art at Purdue University Fort Wayne back in the 2000s. One of the most fascinating, intractable quandaries of art is the concept of intentionality.
What does it mean to say an artist intends something? Can the artist unintend during their artistic process and later intend the result? I say, yes!
This is the method by which I engage in true abstract expressionism. Art without representation outside of pure shape, color, and emotion! This is the art form that most inspires me. The following images are some of my most recent works.
You can learn more about me, my new books, and see other art works by me on my website. I write literary journalism in addition to being an artist.
Creativity is the soul of expression!

These works were done over the last few months. They are abstract expressionism, done freehand on paper, canvas, or on touchscreen using the Autodesk app, Sketchbook. I believe what the reciever of art experiences defines the dominant subjective meaning of my art—you look within yourself to experience the aesthetics of art!
