Did you know that Seattle Parks and Recreation has art classes? I have been taking classes with them for years, thanks to their scholarship program. They are accepting scholarship applications for Summer 2023 through Spring 2024.

Currently, Seattle Parks are offering:

• Pottery
• Watercolor
• Crochet
• Knitting
• Brig Artists Studio – Open studio with mentoring
• Painting in Community
• Create and Community-LGBTQ
• Lift your voice – LGBTQ

Courses vary by quarter and community center.

Good news! The scholarship is for more than art. The scholarship covers your whole family for fitness, strength building, yoga, art, field trips swimming, and more. These are not full scholarships but you can get up to 90% off course or activity.

Apply online at Seattle Parks and Recreation, There isn’t a deadline date. They give out scholarships until the money runs out so don’t put it off!
